Activities for Identifying the Main Idea, Key Details, and Appropriate Conclusions SLP

 Teletherapy or Face to Face

After listening to a short story, the client will identify the main idea, key details, and make 

appropriate conclusions...

- Super Duper cards, find the main idea (with or without pictures) with choices

- Cloud Learners "Identify the main idea and details" activity

- Super Duper cards, "what is the main idea/freestyle"

Can all be used alongside a gameboard with a spinner and moveable pieces to engage students better.

* For online, on Super Duper, go to Modes and then select either freestyle, memory, gameboards, or chipper chat.

Activities for Social Problem Solving and Solutions SLP Resources

 When given a problem scenario or social situation, the client will provide 2+ solutions and  provide reasoning as to why the solution is appropriate... Read passage, identify the problem, what should you do? etc. - Cloud Learners , "Spring theme, social problem solving". Short/medium story ask what the problem is and what should be done about it with choices. ex. a girl playing outside and accidently broke her mom's flowerpot. What happened in the story? Should she ignore it, tell her mom, or tell their sibling? -  Can all be used alongside a gameboard with a spinner and moveable pieces to engage students better. * For online, on  Super Duper , go to Modes and then select either freestyle, memory, gameboards, or chipper chat.
